Breaking up with a coworker is hard work!

The best recipe for getting over a break up is usually cutting off all ties, at least for a certain period of time. Unfortunately this may be impossible if you’re breaking up with a coworker.

As you plan out the split, remember that keeping the workplace environment positive and professional will be important to your career. This means no random crying sessions, no angry outbursts or passive aggressive remarks and certainly no outright fighting about whose fault it was.
