Summer just began which means stores will be taking the summer clothes away and bringing in the fall items any day now. This is something that seriously drives me crazy, but that’s just the buying cycle that stores are on. When I was in high school I was a Beauty Advisor at Walgreens (I worked the Cosmetics counter) and we would start getting our Christmas collections in July. Seriously.

For those sticky sweet hot summer days I like to keep pressed powder on hand. When I perspire I like to blot my face with powder instead of messing with a liquid that will likely just melt right off anyway. The powder helps absorb some of the sweet and still gives me good coverage. Using beauty products with SPF is ulta important – especially in the summer. These days it’s not hard to find foundations with SPF so don’t skimp and go for one that doesn’t have it.

Along with the rest of the world, I’m obsessed with coral everything. I love it paired with white or navy blue best but it also looks great with grey or just your favorite pair of blue jeans.

I’ve been surfing through Pinterest looking for some summery outfits that don’t include coral (you know, so I don’t look like I’m wearing the same thing every day) – but what the hell, why deny what is meant to be!

Okay, it’s time for the obligatory: Bathing Suits for Every Body Type post. By the time you’re in your mid-twenties you probably already know which bathing suit fits your body best, but then again stuff happens.

Perhaps your body, like mine, feels a bit like its maturing. My skin is drier, my hair is greying (seriously, I found three grey strands!) and I have adult acne for the first time ever. Oh and yup… I’ve gained a few pounds since my early twenties. You could say all of this reflects new life experiences and I’m maturing and growing as a person… that would be a great way to put it.
